THE BAR

We look forward to welcoming you to our Award Winning Highlands & Western Isles CAMRA Pub of the Year 2017. A traditional Scottish pub where the ambience in the bar is warm and friendly.

A wood-burning stove set in a slate hearth warms you on chilly days whilst you sit at our local handmade Douglas Fir "jigsaw" tables.

We pride ourselves in the range and quality of drinks we offer - from freshly made coffee, a selection of different teas, six real ale hand pumps, a choice of around 105 Malt Whiskies, 15 Gins, an interesting selection of wines, bottled ales and soft drinks.

Real Ales

As committed CAMRA members and with the bar having entries in the Good Beer Guide since 2011, we take great pride in the quality of the real ales we sell, which was recognised by our WINNING the Highlands & Western Isles CAMRA Pub of the Year 2017.

As a free house, we buy our ales from many of the craft breweries in the North of Scotland as well as sourcing casks from further afield.

We have six hand pumps for real ale and we regularly sell ales from the An Teallach, Cromarty and Orkney Breweries with Windswept,Strathcarron and other breweries featuring on the bar as well.

We also have Weston’s Family Reserve real cider on draft from the cellar.

Malt Whisky

Scottish Malt Whisky is enjoying very bouyant sales globally and we are proud to contribute to that boom with around 105 Malts on the shelves, plus one or two in the cupboard! We do not restrict ourselves to only Scottish Malts with examples of single malts from Japan, England, Wales, Tasmania, India and Ireland available for you to compare to the Scottish varieties.

Our standard Malt shelf has a range covering all the distilling regions in Scotland with expressions from the popular distilleries such as Talisker, Ardbeg, Glen Ord, Tomatin, Dalmore, Aberfeldy and Dalwhinnie among others.

Our Rare and Unusual shelf has examples from closed distilleries such as Glen Mhor, Rosebank and Dallas Dhu plus some of the more expensive expressions from Ardbeg, Bruichladdich, Glen Ord, Linkwood and Glen Scotia among others.

To guide you on Malt Whisky, how to drink it and to help you select a dram to suit your taste and wallet we have compiled a comprehensive Whisky List which is available on the bar. If you require any further information please ask the bar staff and they will be pleased to give you whatever help you may need.

Scottish Gin

Gin is enjoying a resurgance in recent years and no more so than in Scotland. A large number of new and established distilleries are producing Gin and in most cases using botanicals local to the distillery to flavour the gin.

Over the last couple of years we have increased our choice of Scottish Gin and we currently have over 15 bottles including those from Isle of Harris, Orkney,Islay, Edinburgh, Shetland and Perthshire.

So come and enjoy a refreshing Scottish Gin served with Fever Tree tonic and ice.
